Work with Imagining Europe
Currently, the project is in year 2 (of 4) of its development. That means that at this time the Italian and Estonian data collections are being organized. For this reason, we are looking for new team members located in Italy to help with data collection (the Estonian team has already been set up, but if you would like to contribute, feel free to contact us).

Your tasks and capabilities
>> Conduct interviews
>> Around 7 interviews per person
>> In Italian language
>> In Rome, Bolzano, Florence, Palermo, and/or Napels
>> Interviews are semi-structured (topic list & open questions; a few closed questions)
>> Strong communication skills in English (but you don't have to be a near-native speaker)
>> Writing an extended summary in English per interview
>> Communicating the outcomes of the interviews to the project leader in English
>> An interest in research generally and/or the topic specifically
>> You can use the data for your own project (e.g. master, bachelor)
>> You should have some experience, training, or interest in conducting interviews
>> One of the following fields of study are preferred but not required:
>> Sociology, anthropology, political science, journalism, communication, psychology

What we have to offer
>> Extensive experience with doing research
>> Working in an international team of academics (both in Italy (EUI) and abroad (EE, NL))
>> Being a member of a research network at one of Europe's leading academic institutions
>> Data access:
>> Use your work for this project as the topic of your own project
>> E.g. master/bachelor thesis, seminar papers, etc.)
>> You are given full access to the Italian data collected also by other team members
>> When available, you can get access to the data collected in the Netherlands and Estonia
>> Your name will appear in publications based on this data (if you prefer)
>> If possible, you will be invited to act as co-author of publications on this project:
>> You can have your first publication(s) before even graduating
>> Having publications will boost your chances for getting a job or PhD after graduating
>> An open invitation to visit Florence and the EUI!
